OUR BIGGEST GAME
ON THE BIGGEST STAGE
The NRL took Australia’s biggest game the biggest stage that the U.S. has to offer - Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas.
Amidst the glitz, glamour, and lights of Las Vegas, the event needed punch, pizzazz, and a show worthy of the game and location.
The challenge was to create an impactful suite of sports graphics for a state-of-the-art stadium, that showcased the sporting pride of our nation in another country.
LAS VEGAS ROUND - BIG SCREEN & LED EXECUTION
The first step was creating a brand look and feel that tied in with the marketing communications, but elevated it for the stadium canvas.
Allegiant Stadium presented us with great size and scope for graphics, with several configurations of big screens, and multiple tiers of LED ribbons surrounding the bowl.
Once we locked in a look and feel, it was about creating team specific graphics that each of the participating teams would feel proud of.
We ensured that even though they weren't on home soil, they still had that flavour and feeling of the stadium belonging to them during their moments to shine.
TEAM SPECIFIC CREATIVE
We then rolled everything out to the different deliverables that the NRL and the stadium required.
This was our biggest delivery to date, and we introduced new processes, new software solutions to get the job done. We brought in Unreal Engine as our 3D renderer. This gave us additional speed to create 3D graphics on the fly that wouldn't require overnight renders, making the best use of our time.
On pretty much every metric that the NRL had, the game was a success. Positive media reviews, positive fan reviews, positive player reviews - everything went the NRL's way.
Sitting in the stands ourselves, we couldn't help but be blown away by how epic the event was. We were deeply proud and honoured to be part of this inaugural foray into the US for the NRL.
