NRL FINALS & GRAND FINAL 2023
THE ROAD
TO GLORY

BRANDING THE BIGGEST GAMES OF THE YEAR
It all comes down to finals footy. It’s the pinnacle of the season and the NRL wanted to brand their events with premium, tribalistic graphics to seperate Finals matches from regular season events.
BUILDING THE SYSTEM
Light & Fury developed a design system that would ensure a cohesive brand look across all games combined with the flexibility to boldly incorporate each team’s colours and branding. Ensuring fans weren’t ignored when it came to game day.
ALL FINALS, ALL THE TIME
We made sure that every fan that walked into the stadium knew that they were there to witness greatness - Finals football. To achieve this we developed brand graphics for major pre and post game moments as well as a multitude of team specific assets to help create a tribalistic atmosphere.
The graphics were rolled out over the the 4 weeks of the men’s finals and 2 weeks of womens finals. Everything culminated with ‘The Big Dance’, Grand Final day, the biggest day in the rugby league calendar.
ENTERTAINING THE MASSES
Finals football was a major success for the NRL. Over 329,000 fans poured through the gates for the Finals leading into a sellout crowd for the grand final with 81,947 in attendance.
