SETTING THE STAGE
We set out to create an impactful and bold branding campaign that resonated with the club's values and audience. Refreshing and activating the visual identity in-stadium while maintaining the continuity of previous seasons' branding.
The central narrative, "Defend Paradise," served as the lynch pin of the creative narrative to emphasize the team's territorial pride and strong defensive identity.
THE CREATIVE TENSION
One of the primary challenges was reinventing the creative execution for a brand that had been evolving over several seasons. The team had to avoid repetition while still aligning with the established visual guidelines.
Additional hurdles included striking a balance between bold, aggressive designs and the integration of imagery that reflected the club's stadium and community roots.
FORGING THE LOOK
The creative process began with revisiting the team's style guide for inspiration and identifying elements for expansion.
The design team adopted a trial-and-error approach, extracting impactful ideas from references and experimenting with gradients, 3D elements, and bold typography.
Collaboration within the team and iterative refinement led to a cohesive concept that balanced innovation with brand consistency.
UNLEASHING 'DEFEND PARRADISE'
The final branding campaign featured bold typography, striking animations, and impactful 3D elements that captured the essence of "Defend Paradise."
The designs emphasized sharp, fast-paced movements and bold visuals, creating a strong defensive tone. Imagery of the stadium and the Parramatta community was seamlessly integrated, ensuring that the campaign resonated with both the team's identity and its supporters.
